He's Home..... Hopefully for good- For Now.
Finally.
Fingers crossed this is our last Deployment for a while…. 6 of the last 9 years have been spent with overseas Sea Duty, and although we have been able to live in this incredible place, and travel and soak in the world a bit, its been rough…. 13 Patrols. And its time now for some Us.
This home-coming felt like a triumph- We have made it… Our Love can ride through anything, and as much as these have challenged me to the core, I have found strength through each separation I didnt think I was capable of…. Me + Him+ the KIDS, we are rock solid.
This float was different for Dear Husband, Covid didnt allow for them to step foot off the ship, so it was a good minute on the water. He was so happy to come home to FOOD and a hot shower, and as he said, just to kick off his boots and relax. I cant ever put myself in his place, I dont know how he does it.
It was such a fabulous weekend to welcome him home, as the following day we were to celebrate 11 years of marriage! Yes sir… We did some hiking, got lost in the woods, pigged out… all the fun stuff. This whole week has felt like Christmas.
I made a short home movie this go-round. Its just the morning we welcomed him home. These days always look the same…. Get up at 5, make coffee, light yoga, try not to trip over my dog who can somehow Tell HE is coming back! We took a walk to kill a little time, and of course got to the boat too early—- Every time. I just cant wait. Hope you like it, i will cherish it forever…. Till next time- xoxo
