Chiwata Falls..... Nagasaki
Trying to pull myself, BADLY, outa this Winter//Deployment FUNK by sorting through photos of our favorite adventures and Blogging them up—- I dont know if its helping. However it has gotten me back to Google, to Bucket list out a few more spots to find for when the weather takes its turn back to pretty… So thats something!!
Chiwata Falls is one of our favorite little playgrounds nestled between the mountains here in Nagasaki Prefecture… Its an easy hike down the Chiwata River, swimming holes along the way (Summer Vibing already to get back to that!), to a beautiful tall fall at the end… There are so many boulders to parkour around on, which is all Madi and Dad do, plants and mushrooms and moss and trees to enjoy, and the water is so so clear and clean… On the drive up or back down the very small road you can stop off to view much larger Falls through the trees! I want to know how to get to those!
It was cold and wet the day we went, but that didnt stop us one bit… I love that on days where I feel the walls closing in and Im bursting at the seems to get out, the kids and husband jump on board—- Im feeling that itch now!!! But its raining, so soon I hope….
We have found Kyushu Island has so so many hidden little oasis’ to hide away from the noise and bustle of the artificial world… Places where you can hear the trees, and I plan to get out and listen as much as possible these last months of living here…. We really will miss this country….
SIde note—- We made friends with an old mans pet goat… What a talker! I love that most of the countryside gems here, we always seem to find goats….
Till next time…- xoxo-
