Oh Austria.

It was so special for me, personally, to visit this magical place… Even if just for a Day. I had found out, years ago, that my Grandmother was Austrian… That I have a whole heritage dating back centuries to this country—- That pull you feel, deep down, to certain places or things, I do believe there is a calling there- I found, coming into my adulthood, how drawn I am to Mountains. Iv talked about it so much in past posts, but its overwhelming at times… and driving through the Alps, from Garmisch to Innsbruck, I found myself feeling so so warm inside, in tears, in awe. Like a piece of me really does come from these mountains, etched deep into my soul somewhere, and as I get older, the piece is showing itself.

We decided a MUST SEE was Neuschwanstein Castle…. We have not taken our kids to Disney World, but visiting a place that inspired Walt himself was so so special… The little village is adorable, and the hikes around the area are breathtaking.

How beautiful to experience 2 seasons in the same short trip! It was a stunning snowy Winter in the mountains, yet Spring just blossoming in the valleys….

Innsbruck—-

This is a country I want to spend some real time in, so we will be back! I cant wait. The Alps, my heart.
