Mt Aso.... Golly we love this place!
This past Fall was pretty awesome… Husband was home and had some time off, so we took to the road as much as possible! These are my favorite moments… All of us piled up in a mini van, lots of snacks, windows down, a good playlist…. Mt Aso NEVER disappoints… We ended up with a pretty perfect day.. It wasnt too cold, we had partial sun, and the Volcano was burping! There is so much space to run and run, arms stretched wide, and hike through the plains and surrounding mountains, without a city in sight… Amazing place!!
The kids were in awe to see the “place where Dragon’s are born” as they said… As smoke spewed, we sat back and watched the ash fall, locals pray and sing, drum and dance it the fields, kids running barefoot… It was like seeing freedom=nature… So much Truth in that.
We have decided that coming back for some major hiking in the Spring is a MUST! Locals, you have to see this Mountain if on Kyushu… Its worth every mile….
