First Daisy's of a Sicilian Spring
Sometimes you just have to pull over on the side of the rode and take 10 minutes of Pictures, just for the Hell of it- I honestly used to do this ALL the time……
I can remember being in Yokosuka and picking up a DSLR for the first time- that was over a decade ago!! I had this extreme hunger to learn all I could, and kept my camera on my hip at all times- I would shoot anything and everything I found beautiful or true- Fast forward a few years, and I started to view the World in Pictures…. I can see an image and how I want to shoot it before I even pull the camera to my face- I understand light and threw up my hands at trying to master composition, only ever caring if I capture something honest, a feeling, a mood, a story… It really wasnt until recently that I found myself NOT picking it up- Yeah, for those occasions where we went hiking somewhere special or going on vacation, but I lost that “just for the Hell of it” pureness.
So this week I am starting a new project, just for me. To pick up my camera every day for 30 days- to start the habit- To find inspiration, the joy of shooting again, the art form I have always had as a constant, and I always want to grow with- Photography has been ever evolving for me, and blogging my pictures a great way to document US.
So yesterday, we saw some daisies across the street from our Base here in Sicily, parked on the Sheep Road, and snapped some pictures.
Im going to try and share more of these mini sessions over here- ( I have taken sooooo much out of this portfolio as it no longer represented my style)
Stay tuned my luvs- xoxo
