Great Smokey Mts National Park- if only for a Day...
Finally unloading some photos from this Last Summer Hoo-rah, and my heart is spilling over….
Its been a little over a month now… 5 weeks since we packed up a rental car with my eldest daughters suitcases, a cooler of food, a cheap Walmart tent, camp stove, some sleeping bags, odds and ends, a well planned by yours truly itinerary ;) , some damn good playlists, and hit the Road.
A nearly 2 week Ma//Daughters trip to cherish…. 3 National Parks, almost 4k miles North and Back, visiting some Family and dropping the kid back at College… Counting down state-signs while telling stories, playing games, singing at the top of our lungs- Sunrises, sets, stars- and all the Dirt, Hiking, and Wonder in between.
And for this little part, chickens on a Hike! haha
We spent our 1st night visiting GGpa and Gma in Georgia, then day 2 in Great Smokey Mountains National Park! What a dream…… The air was soooo fresh, rivers cold, trails just beautiful… North Georgia//Tennessee has a chunk of my heart… Heck, may be where we end up someday!
I wanted so badly to see a Bear while visiting this campground in the GSMNP, but we shall have to settle for us all hearing one sniff around the tent throughout the night! This magical place, well, its already calling me back….. A home I never knew I belonged to-
