Wow. 2020 has been a BITCH.

Ive been wanting to write this post for a bit now, but, as always, LIFE took over and I just kept putting it off….. Its long yall, bear with me. But if you know me, then you know Iv been going through it this last year, so here is why.

I feel my story NEEDS to be shared, especially after conversations with my fellow LADIES, and there NEEDS to be a change in the way we take control of our Medical Care…. I wont go to into that to much, but this is a post that any of you women who have an IUD MUST READ!

Camping Trip- Isonaura Park

Ok, I went overboard with the pictures, AGAIN. But it was our first camping trip- yup, admitting it, out loud!

For months and months I have been wanting to do this with the kids, start our Camp Journey, thats what im calling it ;) Buuuut some health stuff got in the way, then Covid- Summer was sweltering- so the first NICE weekend of September I rented a tent, grabbed some sleeping bags, packed a ton of snacks, some good tunes(we brought along “Rebel Rebel” for Tea’s ‘Troop Zero’ Moment!), camera, and by chance my small weber grill for a fire- and just went…

We have a few favorite Mountains here on Kyushu we visit—- Aso, Unzen and her sisters, Kokozu… But then this Summer, on a rainy day, we drove out to Yufuin. I fell in love.

Take me to a Coastline.... Ikitsuki

Places we have been before, steps we have taken, paths we have walked—- But sometimes a revisit opens your Soul, a deja-vu of that first sight…

Before Husband deployed, on what we hope will be his LAST one for a while, we cruised out to places we were allowed (Covid Restrictions), some of these being favorites we discovered our first year here on Kyushu Island. Ikitsuki has such amazing coastlines… From drop off cliffs carved by the sea, to lush greenery blanketing the hills all around, the scenes are epic…. On this particular day, I was aching to get out—- The pull to get away from the Base, the town, somewhere only nature is speaking, it grabs hold of me and does not release until the urge is satisfied… Can you relate??

A Date Night With Myself.

I have found my therapy.

This week has been, not at all bad, but just maybe draining…. I have been overstretched- the to-do lists to long, the school prep, the end of Summer activities.. Only one of me, 5 of them. In the evenings I have felt dry, nothing left to pour, chasing a sense of self that I cant truly find.

Another Climb- Mt Kokuzo

Mt Kokuzo, 2x.

Nature is open!!!!!!! It happened last week, 3 months after the Covid quarantine restrictions were put in place, and the natural world was cut off from us… As thankful as I am everyday for our situation, these four walls have been closing in on me… Affecting my daily mood, my energy, my SOUL. The lift happened just as Dear Husband was taking leave from work, for our little ‘stay-cation’ so the timing couldnt have been better…

Chiwata Falls..... Nagasaki

Chiwata Falls is one of our favorite little playgrounds nestled between the mountains here in Nagasaki Prefecture… Its an easy hike down the Chiwata River, swimming holes along the way (Summer Vibing already to get back to that!), to a beautiful tall fall at the end…
