My New Knit Cardigan--- Mt Etna

It feels soooo good to have this piece of my wardrobe complete…. Woot Woot!

Ya’ll, I have never been a fashionable girl, at all- A pair of jeans and white cotton tee are my go to for almost all occasions, but boy do I love a cozy sweater… Finding that however, can be a challenge for me! A couple of years ago I took a whack at a sweater pattern for Story, then another for Tea… Then a couple for myself! I have become addicted…. Although my girls will, and are, growing out of some of their “Mama Made” clothes, mine will last for hopefully a good, loooong while… There is nothing quite like wearing something you made with your own two hands. Its pretty incredible-

I tend to be a slow knitter however- I can crochet like a crazy lady, but my coordination is still fumbled when using the two needles- Golly, the learning is fun, and therapeutic, and frustrating, yet rewarding all the same. This go around I decided an oversized cardigan would be good! I love wearing these around the house, and since thats where I usually am, I thought it would get a ton of use! So far, it has…. The yarn is cotton from We Are Knitters - I love all of their yarns! The pattern is so simple, just rib stitch around the edges and a strait stocking knit base. I love the deep pockets I added to throw a ball of yarn into so I can knit on the go!

HUGE kudos to Dear Husband for braving the storm rolling in and driving me an hour up Etna to take these photos…. And another HUGE kudos for getting these shots! Ima make a photographer out of him, he is slowly//unwillingly learning ;)

Thank you so much for stopping by and peeking! -xoxo
