Camping at Tallulah Gorge- North Georgia

In May, we experienced some Highs….. We needed them.

In the wake of still grieving Harvey, we knew skipping town would help- So off to Georgia we headed!

Years and years ago, Dear Husband and I had a dream of buying some land in North GA- A place where when we one day retired, we could build our Homestead…. but then we took orders to Europe and put it on hold. Who knows, maybe it will still happen, maybe other paths will be taken, but Im glad for moments like this, right here…

Tallulah Gorge- in Spring. The girls were begging to do a camping trip, so we just opened up a Map and chose somewhere within a few hrs of Gpas.… This little place was just 20 miles south of where we dreamt of land… I dont even know if we really realized it until we were there! We spent the day hiking the Gorge, viewing the falls… spent the afternoon in Downtown Clayton, checking out shops and grabbing a snack, then the evening cooking burgers, roasting marsh-mellows, laughing and stargazing… Snuggled all 4 into a tent, reading books, listening to the rain—- In the morning we rose early, had coffee before the girls woke, and headed out before a major storm hit…

It was a perfect win— We are so inspired to do more of THIS, just as soon as the Summer ends!

These 2 come alive in the Woods—- Let this post be a reminder to do WAY MORE CAMPING!

Till next time—- xoxo
