Mt Tenzan- Japan

I cried on the way to and from Mt Tenzan last weekend…. Husband made fun of me as we cruised along listening to “Death Cab For Cutie” saying Im like Brendan Fraser in Bedazzled, ya know, when he is the sentimental version of himself, crying while looking at a sunset “Its just so beautiful!!” ok, I wasnt like that, at all… But lately I cant help but feel emotional every time we get out to these Mountains and Coastlines as a family… It may be the last time we see this. So Im embracing every moment fully..

Tenzan we have visited before… Its a super pretty area, and great hike to do with littles… Our golden, Harvey, has even done this climb… Its rocky and craggy, and not somewhere you want to visit if it has rained recently- But its pretty short, under 30 minutes with kids from the parking lot- The views are great, and its one of those hikes where you can just HANG at the top, plenty of room for run and play!

This past weekend here on Kyushu, Fall really arrived… although our day temps are back up in the 70s, the leaves are finally changing! Eeep! Makes me giddy…. The ridge across the mountain top was covered in Autumn… From the wild berries to the smells of deciduous trees and spicy flowers. I could have stayed the entire day.

Tenzan is also home to one of the local small ski resorts, so if you visit the area in Winter, check it out! We hope to in January before we move, however dont know what Covid will do, so we shall see….

Scroll through the, once again, too many photos to see our attempts at a family shot! Yep, its the best we got…. ;)

Till next time- xoxo
