Sunrise over Kyushu
4 am came early today, but totally worth it…
The girls and I had an idea to book in this last Summer in Japan with a Sunrise… Living on the west coast of Kyushu we definitely see amazing Sunsets, but this is the Land of the Rising Sun, and mornings just dont disappoint in my book. Watching the golds and amber and pinks flow up over the mountains is such a sight—- So we packed a breakfast, some coffee, and hit the road under a starlit sky…
I remembered scouting out these campgrounds about an hour from our house last Fall when we were planning a camping trip, and since it overlooks the East Coast of Kyushu, we chanced that it would give us a perfect Dawn… By Golly, it did.

I cant believe Autumn will be arriving in weeks, part of me is so ready, yet it just means we are closer to leaving Japan for the second, maybe last time… Im going to miss this place so terribly much… -xoxo
