Every trip up, is so worth it.

Im going to keep this short and sweet—— This week kinda kicked us in the rear…. We may not have made it up to GPas on the 4th, but Family kept a pile of fireworks and fun to share with us when we finally arrived! Little pockets of time spent together, seeing the Brothers act like kids, the cousins play, the talks and porch hang outs, well, we make them count!

This trip had some milestone wins for Birdy—- It seems like just yesterday the Fireworks scared her so much it hurt my heart… But I remember Independence Day 2022, watching the fireworks in Sicily being shot over the Farm field next to our Base- Tea was sitting in my lap, oversized noise canceling headphones over her tiny ears, and she looked back- big beautiful eyes full of wonder- and said “Mom, these are really pretty!”

Well, for this 4th, she not only held sparklers, but lit up and shot off some of the big BOOMS! It was amazing to see—- she has come so so far.

Little Koda Man lasted a bit! I will say, he loves Georgia so much it was hard bringing him Home! He was so happy being off leash the whole time, playing in the grass and hanging with Gpa. The firworks didnt spook him till the Big Bang! All in all, big WIN!
