Aw man, its been a hard week- I wont get into it, as time is healing, but yesterday I felt the walls caving in, so we went out for a drive-

A good Ben Howard playlist, some beautiful country-side in golden light, watching the girls in the rear view with the windows down and their hair blowing around their faces… Its the moments that make my heart feel like its all ok- We are ok.

I had a Pin on Maps for a lake I found about 50 mins from here… Buuuuuttttt in true Sicily form, this brought us off the pavement, through a super scary un-lit tunnel, over potholes that could swallow my car, and eventually to a stop well before actually reaching the Lake- I think its only access would have been on foot, or horseback! But I love a good adventure, and thats how we treated it! Birdy is battling a nasty cold, so stayed in the car, but Bean got out and let me take some photos in the breeze- At 6 years old now, she is kindof growing out of being my Mini-me… She is really coming into her own <3
