Covid has been a bitch this year, keeping people at a distance, for good reason, but its still a little crushing. We dont get to spend the time we once took for granted, with people we are on short time lines of living close to… Now here we are, getting ready to say Good Bye.

I met Cassie a couple of months ago on the school playground… She was chasing around her youngest son, Ares, with such a playful attitude that is almost rare to see sometimes in mamas by the end of the day… I was drawn to her. Seriously. Moth to a flame.

My heart hurts a bit that I met this stunning Mama just weeks before she left Japan to head back to the states…. How our passed never crossed with her living just a couple blocks from me, I just dont know… But Im so so grateful to have met her and her darling babes, and Im sure we will meet again in the future, because the Navy just tends to do that to us…
